The Flowers We Love: Our Favorite Madison, Milwaukee, and Chicago Florists

If you've been around me or this blog for any length of time, you know how I feel about beautiful flowers. I tend to freak out a little when our brides invest into quality floral design and, if I'm honest,  I'm creatively inspired to make really beautiful photos to compliment it (when I'm not staring and gushing about the arrangements!) There's just something inherently sexy about a lush bouquet filled with organic shapes and textures. I die over Dusty Miller. I pray for peonies. I love lavender. I.adore.great.florals. If  you're jonesing for just the right florist, then step into my world, preferably with a cup of coffee in your favorite mug. I'm about to share my faves. These are the people that I've either worked with (and gasped in their ears about the fleurs...really Stephanie...) or would love to work with in the future. And if you book one of these lovelies, do let us know! We would love to find a way to thank you!

Madison Florists

Alluring Blooms

Amanda of Alluring Blooms has a keen eye for organic shapes and beautiful use of greens. She is extremely intuitive, creating some of the most evocative floral designs I've had the delight of shooting. She also happens to be the lovely lady we coined the term "sexy flowers" for.

Daffodil Parker

The ladies of Daffodil Parker make florals that make me weak in the knees. While they have a signature look filled with dreamy neutrals and pastels, they can pull of a dark and moody floral design just as well as their notable light palette.

Milwaukee Florists

Belle Fiori

We recently worked with the talented crew at  Belle Fiori and were blown away! Not only were we excited to photograph the beautiful open-stemmed bouquets she brought our bride, Kendall, we admired how well she melded together the classic taste of the mother-of-the-bride with the bride's relaxed and bohemian flair.

Flower and Bee

Sometimes a really beautiful website says everything you need to know.  Flower and Bee's site is filled with the type of organic elegance that leaves me delighted with each passing photo. And we're counting down the days until we work with them next summer!

Milwaukee Flower Co.

Sally of Milwaukee Flower Co. specializes in unconventional, seasonal florals and her passion for well done florals shines in each piece. If you're a girl wanting something outside the box, Sally gets you!

Chicago Florists

I've long been crushing on the work of the ladies of  Fleur. Recently named one of Martha Stewarts top 69 wedding florist in the nation, they are some of the most talented creative minds and have designed some of the most amazing floral art I've ever seen. If you are planning a wedding and have booked with the fleur ladies, our thanks will certainly be in order!

The Foxglove Studio

Caitlyn, the founder of The FoxGlove Studio is some kind of wonderful genius. Her work shows passion, adventure and romance in a distinct way. She is equal parts imaginative adventurer, caring friend, and, comic relief. You need a good dose of Caitlyn in your life (and her floral designs, of course). Just trust me.

(photos coming soon...I cannot wait to share what we get to photograph from her in a few weeks!)
